RFP Released for UTeach Replication in Maryland

Up to two universities in Maryland will be selected to replicate the UTeach secondary math and science teacher preparation program.

The National Math and Science Initiative, in partnership with the UTeach Institute and the Maryland State Department of Education, is accepting proposals from colleges and universities in Maryland interested in implementing the UTeach secondary STEM teacher preparation program model. Up to $1,400,000 will be awarded to each grantee over five years to implement a new UTeach program. Selected universities will begin enrolling students in Fall 2012.

Letters of interest are requested by January 13, 2012, and proposals are due March 2, 2012.
