UTeach MEmphis Receives an Anonymous $1 Million Donation

The University of Memphis has received a $1 million donation to establish a scholars program for students in the UTeach MEmphis program.

Students participating in the scholars program as part of UTeach MEmphis will receive scholarships and internships, as well as priority in tutoring and instructional placements on the University of Memphis campus. Dr. Henry Kurtz, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, noted that the scholars program will allow UTeach MEmphis students to “make a difference right away.”

The $1 million anonymous donation to UTeach MEmphis is the largest private donation secured by a UTeach program in its first year to date.
