UTeach Model Expands to Elementary Teacher Training

Building on UTeach's experience, Hands-On-Science trains future elementary teachers in science content through inquiry and engages them early in the process of translating that training into teaching children.

Hands-on-Science is a four-semester integrated science curriculum that enrolls 400 pre-service K-8 teachers each semester from UT Austin’s College of Education. The program works closely with UTeach and UTeach Outreach to provide pre-service teachers early field experiences in science inquiry.
